Pitching Your Passion

The workshop is designed to help business owners and those working in businesses feel confident about their “pitch”, and being clear about what a pitch is, and what it isn’t. This workshop also helps individuals better understand their business proposition.

Outcomes
Pitches will be developed that participants can use in situations they are likely to encounter on a frequent basis in their work life:

• Pitching their business at a networking event
• Pitching for staff – being clear and concise during interview what a business does
• Pitching when seeking collaborations or partners for projects

The workshop will cover:
• What is a Pitch, and what a pitch isn’t
• Structure of a Pitch (Your why, Your end goal, Why should the listener care)
• A 20-second Pitch
• Understanding the audience and their needs
• Extending a 20-second Pitch to a 60-second Pitch
• Adapting your Pitch for different audiences
• How to improve Pitching confidence

Session will include time to work individually on their pitch; some 1-2-1 time with the session presenters; small breakout sessions; leading to a final pitch to the whole group.

About the speakers
This session would be presented by Guy Lewis and Deborah Goodall – Directors at CDI Alliance – both whom have worked in business in excess of 30 years and have real world experience of pitching and have also trained others in Pitch Creation as part of their industry roles and latterly as training sessions as part of business support programmes.
